I recall being introduced to omegle about a year ago, when I was bored and wanted something to do. It's one of those sites that pairs you up with a random person from who-knows-where, and you just start chattin' it up.
I had the unfortunate scenario of talking to two 4channers in a row (wow; Firefox considers "4channers" an actual word). The first linked me to a mudkip (that's a Pokemon, for anyone who's asking) site that just wouldn't close, causing me to shut down my computer. The second randomly said something about butt-touching. Talk about awkward.
As a result, I have learned the lessons of online correspondence, especially with someone you don't know. I would recommend that people stay away. (Then again, you could shut me up with all these papers about the statistics of online dating or something.)
